We're pleased to announce a range of new features and improvements aimed at enhancing your experience with our changelog management system. This release focuses on AI integration and user interface updates that streamline how you manage your changelog entries.
New Features
We've added AI custom instructions functionality, allowing you to set specific instructions and excluded paths directly from the repository settings. This feature empowers users to tailor the AI's behavior during changelog generation, making it more adaptable to your project needs.
To support this, an AI Settings button has been introduced on the repositories page. This opens a modal where you can input your custom AI instructions and specify any paths to be excluded from the changelog generation.
Additionally, entries that fail to generate correctly due to AI refusal will now be marked as "Needs Review." This ensures that you are informed when an entry requires your attention, allowing for timely updates and fixes. You will also receive email notifications if any of your changelog entries are flagged for review.
UI Improvements
We've refined the user interface to enhance usability. The "Needs Review" filter has been added to the sidebar, making it easier to identify entries that need attention. The empty state message for this filter has been improved to provide clearer guidance on why entries may require review.
Furthermore, we’ve made various updates to ensure a smoother experience, including better visibility for status labels and enhancements to the regenerate modal, which now pre-populates with saved AI instructions. This change helps you see at a glance what settings are being used during regeneration, making it easier to manage and adjust as necessary.
Lastly, a new documentation link has been added to both the desktop sidebar and mobile navigation, ensuring that you have easy access to helpful resources and guides.
