In this update, we've made significant enhancements to the custom template creation process and improved the GitHub integration experience.
Users can now pre-select a repository when creating a custom template directly from the templates page. If a project ID is passed in the URL, it will be used to pre-select the relevant project, streamlining the process of template creation.
New Features
Alongside the pre-selection feature, we've also implemented a change that automatically hides the repository dropdown when only one repository is available for a user. This ensures a smoother and more intuitive experience, as users will not have to make unnecessary selections.
Moreover, the integration with GitHub has been enhanced with clearer messaging to help users understand the need to install the GitHub App. The text now explicitly mentions that the app requires read-only access to pull requests, code diffs, and commits, providing users with reassurance about their data security.
The call to action buttons have also been updated to reflect these changes, now reading “Install GitHub App” instead of “Connect to GitHub.” This change makes the purpose of the buttons clearer and more inviting.
Improvements
We've refined the user interface across various elements, including the 'Build Your Own' card, which now has improved visibility for free users. The opacity settings have been adjusted to ensure that important elements like the upgrade button and Pro badge are fully visible, enhancing the overall aesthetic and usability of the page.
Finally, users will notice slight adjustments in spacing and layout across the billing and dashboard pages. For instance, the available plans section now has improved spacing, and links to documentation have been updated for better access. These adjustments contribute to a more polished and user-friendly interface.
