REST API Access and Safer Editing
You can now request access to the REST API from Settings (available on Pro and Team plans), use new API documentation, and work with new authenticated endpoints for reading your changelog data. This release also strengthens security around previews, webhooks, and project access, and prevents accidental overwrites when multiple people edit the same entry.
GPT-5.2 Default Model and Timezone Autosave
This release updates the default paid AI model to GPT-5.2 and refreshes the model selection UI, with new guidance on how the models differ. Timezone settings are now easier to pick with clear UTC offsets, autosave on change, and automatic detection on first login. We also fixed several GitHub account and dashboard issues, plus tightened embed subscription access controls.
Connected Accounts Controls and Template Titles
This release adds a dedicated Connected Accounts area for managing GitHub App installations, including clear status, avatars, and a safe disconnect option. It also refines onboarding messages when you add installations, improves links to GitHub settings for personal and organization accounts, and introduces a customizable changelog title field for custom templates.
Prism code highlighting and skip tags
This release adds automatic Prism-based syntax highlighting, language labels, and copy buttons to code blocks in custom template changelogs, making technical examples easier to read and reuse. It also expands and documents skip tags for pull requests, so you can more precisely control which changes appear in your generated changelog entries.
