What's New
We're excited to announce the addition of a new Export Data feature, enabling users to download all their changelog entries in a ZIP file. This export includes HTML files, images, and metadata, providing a comprehensive package of your changelog entries. Users will receive an email notification once their export is ready, allowing easy access to their data.
In addition, we've added a Regenerate option for changelog entries. This allows users to regenerate the content of existing entries using AI, with the ability to provide custom instructions for tailored output. This feature is particularly useful for refreshing entries or adjusting the focus of the generated content.
Improvements
The export process now runs asynchronously in the background, allowing users to continue working while their export is being prepared. A progress indicator on the settings page keeps users informed about the status of their export. Furthermore, an admin tool has been added to clear any pending exports, ensuring that users can manage their export requests effectively.
We've also enhanced the AI context limits for better changelog generation, including increased character limits for PR descriptions and a broader range of files and commits that can be processed. This improvement aims to provide more comprehensive changelog entries, capturing the essence of each release.
To improve user experience, the regenerate functionality includes rate limiting to prevent abuse and ensure fair use among users. A modal interface for regeneration offers a streamlined way to submit custom instructions, enhancing the overall usability of the feature.
